Italian Literary Landscapes
Discovering Italy through its writers and poets
Literature is as much part of Italian identity as its history, art and traditions. Many Italian writers found their inspiration in the extraordinary landscapes of Italy from the rolling green slopes of the Euganean Hills to the steep mountains of the Abruzzi to the bright and ancient villages of the South. In return they have given the places an added value which overcome their natural beauty.
The Literary Landscapes project brings love for literature and love for the country together. It offers a unique opportunity to get “off the beaten path”, inviting the visitor to explore the physical settings that inspired some great Italian literary works but also the people, culture and traditions of those areas.
