Do not forget Afghanistan
The world is gradually forgetting
ACBAR (Agency Coordinating Body for Afghan Relief and Development) was created in August 1988 and has been providing the framework within which Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and civil society, the Afghan Government, the United Nations (UN) and bilateral donors can exchange information, share expertise and establish guidelines for a more coordinated, efficient and effective use of resources providing humanitarian and development assistance to the Afghan people.
ACBAR in cooperation with Norwegian organizations working in Afghanistan invites to movie screening and panel debate:
Afghanistan has embarked upon a challenging process of state-building and has witnessed positive development in many sectors over the past few years. However the positive impact of these achievements is put at risk by the threat of deteriorating security conditions, a complex humanitarian situation and the reduction in volume of international aid. How does the future for Afghanistan look like?
