Peace and conflict as a young scholar: weathering the storm
Debate from 19.30 – 20.30
Let’s investigate what it’s like for a young researcher when their research topic is one that creates conflicts, or their research aims to increase our understanding of a conflict. The panel discussion is followed by an open conversation where we encourage sharing of experiences. Bring your diverse international perspectives and help highlight the solutions (or why they might not be solveable) for conflicts in academia together with the Young Academy of Norway.
The panel in the debate will be:
Jørgen Jensehagen, senior researcher at the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO)
Hanne Fehn Dahle, associate professor – Department of Early Childhood Education, Oslo Metropolitan university
Maja Janmyr, Professor – Department of Criminology and Sociology of Law, University of Oslo.
Moderator is Michael Riegler (Simula and SimulaMet at OsloMet)
