How is language used as evidence in legal proceedings? What is the role of interpreters in police interviews and courts? What role do judges play in assuring ‘competent’ interpretation in international criminal law proceedings? How can the police provide trauma support within the investigative interview?

Forensic linguistics is a field at the intersection of language and law. At this conference, a number of different topics within this field will be presented and discussed.
