The Role of Human Rights in Norwegian Foreign Policy

On Friday 4 April ILPI is hosting a seminar on the role of human rights in Norwegian foreign policy at Litteraturhuset. The newly elected government has stated that it wants to further strengthen human rights as part of its foreign and development policies and will present a white paper to parliament later this year. This seminar will explore why and how human rights can be promoted especially when there are competing interests.
Michael Ignatieff, a renowned international scholar on human rights will be the keynote speaker followed by a panel discussion.
