Når familiedrømmen ikke lykkes
Hva skjer når familiedrømmen ikke går i oppfyllelse? Denne debattdagen handler om familiehistoriene som ikke fortelles: Opplevelsen av å være ufrivillig barnløs i et samfunn der det meste dreier seg om barn, og når det å bli foreldre ikke blir som forventet.
Arrangement vil bringe fram nye stemmer og argumenter i den norske debatten om fertilitet, familie og foreldreskap. Noen av spørsmålene som vil bli stilt er:
-Hva vil det egentlig si å være forelder utover idealene om den «glade mor og far»?
-Går det an å “angre” på det å bli forelder?
-Hva er langtidsutfordringene med å være forelder, utover fokuset på “fødselsdepresjon”?
-Hva slags utfordringer følger med å bli far?
-Hvordan påvirker ufrivillige barnløshet identitet, helse og velvære?
-Hva er de følelsesmessige og menneskelige konsekvenser av å prøve å få barn til enhver pris?
-Hvilke strukturer må et samfunn ha på plass for å kunne håndtere økende infertilitet?
-Hvordan opplever menn infertilitet?
