The Privacy of Wounds
I this critically acclaimed documentary by Dalia Al-Kury, three Syrian refugees allow themselves to be locked up in a reconstructed a Syrian prison cell in a Norwegian cellar. Together they share experiences and trauma, crack jokes and discuss the situation in Syria, in what has turned into a striking and intimate portrait of prison as a key to understand the country they eventually had to flee.
