The Association of Spanish Researchers in Norway is pleased to present the event entitled “Science to defeat a pandemic”, sponsored by the Embassy of Spain together with the Ramón Areces Organization. The idea behind this event is to enlighten on the fight against the recent pandemic, the challenges and successes that scientists have had, and how it has affected society. The event is designed for all audiences and will be attended by 3 expert scientists:

     Dr. Isabel Sola: Group leader of “Replication, virus-host interactions, and protection in coronavirus” group. Spanish National Center of Biotechnology (CNB-CSIC), Spain.

     Dr. Gunnveig Grødeland: group leader of “Influenza and adaptative immunity” group. University of Oslo, Norway.

     Dr. Arnoldo Frigessi: group leader of “Stochastic models and inference” group. University of Oslo, Norway.

The event will consist of 3 presentations followed by a round table:

17,30: Admission

18,00 – 18,15: Introduction

18,15 – 18,40: Isabel Sola (20 min talk + 5 min questions)

18,40 – 18,00: Gunnveig Grødeland (15 min talk + 5 min questions)

18,00 – 18,20: Arnoldo Frigessi (15 min talk + 5 min questions)

18,20 – 20,00: Round table moderated by Dr. Natalia Berges (40 min)

20,00: Closure
