When scientists are driven by pure curiosity
What does a scientist investigate if they could investigate anything they wanted? The Hylleraas-centre is a Norwegian centre for excellence financed by the Norwegian Reseach Council. The scientists at the centre are working on the fundamental questions about how the world is working and curiosity is the driving forces of the centre.
Is the chemistry the same anywhere in the universe? What makes some species adapt to so cold conditions that the cells in theory should have died?
Professor Bjørn Olav Bransdal: Cold adaptions
Professor Kenneth Ruud: Relatively good chemistry
Professor Trygve Helgaker: Extreme magnetic fields – the transformation of chemistry
Professor Odile Eisenstein: Sustainable chemistry via a modeling approach
Language: Mostly in Norwegian, but one lecture will be in English.
