Citizens, states and wars in the Middle East: A perpetual Crisis? is a seminar that aims to elucidate current development lines and challenges that the Middle East region face safter «The Arab Spring». The region and its population are victims of tragic conflicts and massive human rights violations. States have broken down and millions are fleeing due to conflicts that in many ways define global conflict patterns toady. What developments can we see in the future?
The seminar is arranged by the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights in connection with Middle East expert Professor Nils Butenschøn retires from his position 1st July this year. The topics are of interest to the public, and the speakers are well-known experts within their fields.
