Authors Kateryna Mihalitsyna and Yevheniia Podobna are coming to Oslo to attend NFFO’s annual meeting. On the evening of Saturday, March 29th, we invite you to a conversation about Victoria Amelina’s book Looking at Women, Looking at War, which was published this winter.

Viktoria Amelina was a Ukrainian writer, poet, and documenter of war crimes who lost her life in July 2023 after a Russian missile strike on Kramatorsk. The book we will be discussing was published posthumously, thanks to the tremendous efforts of Viktoria's friends and colleagues.

It not only sheds light on the painful events following Russia's full-scale invasion but also highlights the strength of women from various professions, their ability to see and support one another, and the network of true sisterhood in a country at war.

Joining the discussion will be writers Yevheniya Podobna, who is one of the book’s protagonists, and Kateryna Mikhalitsyna, one of the first readers of Viktoria’s manuscript.

Join us for an important evening of literature and reflection

📌 The event will be held in English. 📖 Victoria Amelina’s book will be available for purchase at Norli Litteraturhuset.
