I read the book when I was 10. It was a special children’s book dealing with death. I was absorbed in the universe of the book even after I finished it. It is a weird, sad, beautiful book.

[IN ENGLISH]

I read the book when I was 10. It was a special children’s book dealing with death. I was absorbed in the universe of the book even after I finished it. It is a weird, sad, beautiful book. (Han Kang om Brødrene Løvehjerte)

A writer who doesn’t shy away from the eternal darkness. On the contrary, it is described for a young readership along with a number of other human vices and virtues: hubris, courage, lust for power, great love and great evil.

Astrid Lindgren is a writer of a global format with children as her primary readers. However, her mythical world also offers a literary web for adult readers. In the House of Literature’s series “Literary guiding stars”, international writers talk about a writer they hold in high regard. This time, the South Korean writer Han Kang will talk about her Swedish favorite.

February 1st, Han Kang will talk with Peter Frödberg Idling about her last publication, Human Acts. (/program/2017/02/iskyggenavenmassakre.html)
